Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-08-30
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing or using the Huasca mobile application or this website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Publisher
Publisher: Maxime Dal Gobbo, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as Huasca, 6b rue Paul Langevin, 33170 Gradignan, France. SIREN 803597491. Not subject to VAT. Contact: hello@huasca.app. Full legal notices are published on this website.
3. Description of the Service
Huasca provides tools to manage travel budgets (Flux), map timelines (Trace), Memories (Moments), Backpack gear, traveler profile / Museum, optional AI helpers (receipt scan, gear recognition, insights), guest share links, and related features.
Some features require network access, optional permissions, or paid entitlements (Explorer subscription, Trip Pass, credit packs).
The website presents the product, legal information, a support form, and, where enabled, shared-trip read views. Full trip editing remains in the mobile apps.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You may use an anonymous session. Linking email or social providers is optional but required for some cloud and deletion flows.
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials confidential. Where a store account or parental controls apply, their rules also apply.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial travel purposes, subject to these Terms and store rules.
You may not reverse engineer the Service beyond what mandatory law allows, resell access, scrape content at scale, or interfere with security or other users.
6. Your content
You retain rights in content you add (photos, texts, trip data). You grant us a limited license to host, process and display that content solely to operate features you enable (including sync and AI processing you trigger).
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload content and that it is lawful.
If you create a guest or public share link, you are responsible for what recipients can see and for revoking the link when appropriate.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features (Explorer subscription, Trip Pass, credit packs) are sold through Apple App Store or Google Play and fulfilled with RevenueCat entitlements.
Prices, taxes and renewal terms are those displayed by the store at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in store settings.
Refunds are handled under Apple / Google policies. Huasca does not process card payments on this website.
Entitlements (including AI quotas) may differ between Voyageur (free) and Explorer / Trip Pass.
Before selling paid digital services to consumers in France, Huasca will publish the contact details of a consumer mediator in the Legal Notices, as required by the French Consumer Code.
8. AI and OCR
Huasca may use Google Gemini to help with receipt OCR, gear recognition and traveler-profile insights when you trigger those features.
AI outputs are provided “as is” and may be inaccurate. They are not financial, legal, medical or insurance advice. Always verify amounts, labels and documents yourself.
Misuse of AI features (automated bulk abuse, attempts to extract system prompts, unlawful content) is prohibited.
9. Location
Map and timeline features may use device location with your permission. Passive Trace tracking is optional and trip-bound. Core budgeting does not require location.
You are responsible for complying with local laws when recording or sharing location.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to harass, infringe others’ rights, upload unlawful content, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service.
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or legal risk.
11. Availability and disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of maps, rates, AI or GPS traces.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect damages. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (in-app Settings, the Account Deletion page, or the website support form / hello@huasca.app).
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or legal risk. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, governing law) continue to apply.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after notice of material changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; otherwise we will seek consent when required.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence in the EU/EEA.
Courts of France have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer venue rules.
15. Severability
If a provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid one closest to the original intent, where possible.
